I am currently 19, I was born premature, 5 months, mom tells me how doctors recommended to abort me, as I was going to be a veggie kid if I lived, I have a 10% chance of living as I weighted less than a pound, Doctors said I was going to have lung problems, asthma, I wasnt going to be able to play sports, I was going to be mentally retarded, I wasn’t going to be a happy kid if I lived… That’s what they said… Mom prayed to GOD, day and night, I was in incu for almost an entire month, mom prayed to god, every day… she had hopes, after all the dcotors said, she had hopes. Mom was devastated, after hearing those words for the entire month coming from professional doctors. By the time I got out of the incu, doctors gave me to my mother, because they said they wanted her to spend the last hours with me, they handed me to her, and told her to go home and spend the last day with me, as I was scheduled to die that same day… Nonetheless mom took me home… She prayed to GOD, she had faith I was in this earth for a reason. I lived! I went to high school my body was developed 99% percent like a regular kid, however, I am blind from my right eye, and it has the look of a lazy eye. I just finished high school played football and basketball for 4 years, my entire high school, run track, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA, and up to date, I have no problems at all, no asthma, no lung problems like diagnosed by Doctors. I thank my mom for having such strength and not giving up on me…GOD BLESS HER.- Isaias Jona Perez
